Braunschweig - in the heart of Lower Saxony

Welcome to Braunschweig! The city is not only an important science city, but also has a lot to offer culturally and historically.

The Lion City, as Braunschweig is also known, has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. Richmond Castle, which once served as the summer residence of the Dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg, is particularly worth seeing. The Braunschweig Castle Museum, the Municipal Museum and Dankwarderode Castle are also worth a visit.

In addition to the historical sights, Braunschweig also has modern highlights such as the Happy RIZZI House, once designed by pop artist James Rizzi. Braunschweig Cathedral, the city's landmark, is also an impressive structure.

Not to be forgotten are also the numerous green spaces in Braunschweig, such as the Bürgerpark, which is ideal for long walks or bicycle tours. And if you prefer sports, you can watch a game of the soccer club Eintracht Braunschweig in the Eintracht Stadium.

In Braunschweig there are also numerous restaurants, cafes and bars that have something to offer for every taste. We can recommend the Brauereigaststätte Wolters, where the famous Wolters beer is brewed, and the steakhouse El Gaucho.
