Leap in Expansion: ACHAT Hotel Group Grows to 50 Hotels
Mannheim, February 2023. The ACHAT Hotel Group achieved an impressive milestone in growth in early February 2023. The Michel Hotel Group, with its 13 leased properties, will join the ACHAT Hotel Group’s current portfolio of 36 properties. As a result, the ACHAT Hotels will have an additional 1,600 hotel rooms in early March 2023. Furthermore, as this transaction and the subsequent LOGINN Hotels to open in 2023 are considered, the ACHAT Hotel Group will expand its portfolio to more than 50 hotels. With over 5,800 hotel rooms, this underlines its rigorous and controlled course of growth. Managing Partner Philipp v. Bodman views the new hotels as ideal additions to the ACHAT portfolio, not only geographically but also in terms of performance, offers, and philosophy as a host and employer. “Our companies’ structures and shared appreciation of values, our similar offerings within the 3- to 4-Star DEHOGA segment for conferences, as well as business and leisure travelers, make us a perfect fit.” v. Bodman continued.
Presence in New Tourism Destinations
With this leap in growth, the ACHAT Hotel Group is also expanding its presence in new attractive tourism and leisure destinations, including the “Bavarian Forest”, the “Eifel,” and the “Lüneburger Heide”. Ido Michel, who has built the Michel Hotel Group since 2009 and implemented a contemporary design and comfort throughout the hotels, remains the owner and lessor of its 13 hotel properties. “I also look forward to this eye-level partnership and further cooperation with the ACHAT Hotel Group, which we plan to intensify beyond the current portfolio,” says Ido Michel. In the future, Ido Michel intends to focus on the targeted expansion of his hotel real estate portfolio within this close collaboration. ACHAT Hotel Group will stand by his side as operator.
Operationally Well-Prepared for the Leap in Growth
In recent years, the ACHAT Hotel Group has been professionalizing itself for further growth under the leadership of Philipp v. Bodman and has created a solid operational foundation. This foundation is an essential prerequisite for the functional integration of these 13 new hotels. “Our ACHAT Hotel Group has intensively prepared our course of expansion for several years. By assembling a seasoned and dedicated team, they created a robust framework to achieve the following: evolve operationally, modernize our brand, and successfully shoulder such an extensive integration of existing hotels, as five new LOGINN hotels are simultaneously and currently under construction. These facts underscore our ambitions to further expand with the existing hotels and new buildings.”
All Staff Members will be Retained
The ACHAT Group will retain all employees of the hotels. Philipp v. Bodman “Bringing staff members on board with us was a standard we set ourselves as a prerequisite for taking this step. We want to benefit from the on-site employees’ experience and expertise and achieve new levels of success together as a stronger team.” A clear commitment to the “people-success-factor” on the ACHAT Hotel Group’s self-imposed goal to become one of the leading German hotel groups within the Middle-Class segment.
